The 2nd graders are making a castle scene.  We learned about faux painting.  Next we will create a background with a horizon line.

Youth art month art exhibition

Today I came to Columbus to enjoy seeing Ashlee's artwork displayed at the state art show.  There was a lovey awards reception as well.
There were only 150 pieces chosen in Ohio.

YPAE art show

I am currently sitting next to Tatum at the Rhodes Tower in Columbus.  Her tessellation is on display at the Young People's Art Exhibition.  It's a pretty big deal.

3rd grade weaving

The 3rd graders are learning how to weave on a cardboard loom.  They are reinforcing their patterns and tying skills.

Kindergarten character drawing

This class learned about drawing people.  They learned to use shapes for the body.

4th grade mononchromatic

We are exploring tints, tones, and shades.

1st grade tree of life

1st graders are making their own version of gustav klimts tree of life.  They were excited to use the metallic paint again.  Next we will glue some sequins to make the trees sparkle.
